With the 6 basic lines you have practiced you can virtually draw anything. Of course a little application of some ‘artistic concepts’ will add some spice to your elementary classroom art projects. We start with a simple drawing of the zig zag and the wiggle in an art exercise that develops control and encourages variation. We then move to a free form. closed zig zag and wiggle shape. Start with blue them fit the 3 light greens into main piece. Add orange, darker green etc. You can simplify the puzzle depending on which grade you are teaching. K-2 can start with 2 pieces and build from there, 3-6 can actually explore the concept and create amazing art puzzles.
