Here is a well organized, short class on How To Draw the Artabet Space Ship with Ron and some of his students. Moon Mission shows you how to engage your grades 1 to 6 students and Draw a Story. You can add and expect more details and allow more creative input from the older students or keep to a simple approach using the step by step sheet that pops up in the video. Get your usual classroom materials and let’s blast off with the Artabet Moon Mission!
Watch this video and discover how to engage students in the drawing process.
You can simply follow the Artabet print out that is in the video and included below and keep the lesson at a K to Grade 2 level.

Avoid the use of poor quality paper if you are going to watercolor. Keep Paper size small so students can complete their work. Give them time to work at their own pace and let them catch up if they linger behind.
Consider Getting the Artabet book from this website and using the ‘Space’ themes for the older students. Let the older students draw a whole fleet of ships and encourage their own designs.

Try A Space Helmet for Grades 3 and up.
